TimeLog version 2017 (6.1)
This is the latest version with changes in contract and restriction of time tracking
Contract Hourly rates (Only Invoicing Advanced)
On Time & Material contracts we have added a new context menu items “Add contract hourly rates” (will be replaced by “Delete all contract hourly rates” when user adds the hourly rates”)
Contract hourly rates allows you to set a default hourly rates for each person working on tasks under the specific contract. Kind of like a resource group for the contract although it will not control who can track time on tasks but only used for default hourly rates. This means when allocating a person the contract hourly rate will be used instead of the resource group hourly rate. As a result an employee can have different hourly rates on a project when that is required.
The hourly rates appears in a new tab on the contract and the whole functionality works like the resource group.
We have taken a new icon into usage which should imply “remove” which is different from delete. Removed stuff can be added again, while deleted stuff can’t.
Blocking the user from tracking more time than allocated
A new setting has been introduced in the project settings in system administration under budgeting.
When activated the user cannot track more time than allocated in any TimeLog time registration UI. The user will get an error message that the allocation budget was exceeded.
