TimeLog version 2019 (6.1) - Release date 27 August 2019
Features
Time tracking
New compact view in timesheet
Since we introduced the new design in the timesheet, we have gathered a lot of feedback from you. Some of you only work with a few tasks per project and have requested a more compact overview in the timesheet.
We have listened and now present the compact view as an alternative to the standard timesheet. It works just like you are used to, we have only changed the design and removed a lot of white space.
You can switch to the new view in your personal settings, which you enter by clicking the gears icon:
Your changes are saved automatically once you do your selections:
Improvement to stopwatch time tracking
Before, if you forgot your time tracker and went on vacation, a new time registration was created for each day you were away. This was annoying and made no sense.
Since some people work over midnight, it must still be possible for the stopwatch function to handle this scenario.
For this reason, we have decided that when the stopwatch crossed midnight the second time, it must be because you now forgot to stop a time registration. The system will create one registration for the day you started it, a 24 hour registration for the following day and then stop. This will limit the amount of changes you would need to do, but still allow for stopwatch tracking across midnight.
Projects
Improvement in creation of payment plans for continuous contracts
Employees
User-defined comment field part of approval page
General updates in the system
Improvements in caching logic in the database
We continuously improve our technical setup and work behind the scenes. Some customers experienced that their sites would time out and become unavailable, and we have now made improvements in the code to avoid this from happening again.
Am I on the right version of TimeLog?
