TimeLog version 2019 (6.1) - Release date 23 December 2019
Statens Løn System (SLS)
We now present a new standard file integration for the Danish salary management system Statens Løn System. You can easily activate and set up the integration in the system administration, and you will get a customised file to use for the import in SLS. Once you have exported the salary data from TimeLog, you need to add additional personal information before you import it into SLS.
Improvements for Multiple Legal Entities (MLE)
We have made two improvements for our customers using integrations in their MLE setup.
From today, you can set up a salary integration for each legal entity, and in this way automise parts of your salary management.
You can configure everything by yourself from the system administration menu, and you no longer need help from our consultants to get going.
If you would like to learn more about MLE and which options you have with the feature, you can click right here to learn more.
New mileage registration
We have created a mileage registration that works across platforms (web,
mobile etc.) with high usability and the flexibility to support collecting the required information for
lawful reporting of mileage in the countries where TimeLog is used.
The implementation supports the existing integrations to salary systems, and also prepares for
integrating mileage registrations to the finance systems.
If you like, you can read more about our reasons for changing the interfaces in this document.
We have written a number of help pages, which can help you set things up and add the registrations correctly:
- New mileage registration
- Expense and travel registration settings
- Mileage rates and periods
- Configuration of cars
Changes for the employees registering mileage
With the release, your colleagues will be able to register mileage in our app, where they can also add their personal cars, in the timesheet and in a separate page.
Changes for the system administrator
As a system administrator, you now must:
- Check the settings in the system administration:
- Go through all mileage rates and deactivate those not relevant any more:
- Make sure the active mileage rates have correct periods and the correct salary system
code(s), if you export mileage to your salary system from TimeLog. Click the name of the mileage rate or the pencil to the right to edit the rate. Then you can click the pencil to edit the period too:
- Create a default mileage rate for private cars and set the correct periods for this mileage
rate. Once you create it, you get to the page of the mileage registration, where you can edit the periods:
- Deactivate all cars that were “private” cars in the current version, as they will be converted
to company cars with a mileage rate which results in a reimbursement. Removing the cars will force your employees to create their own private cars with the correct license plates:
- Go through existing company cars, add license plates and set the correct default mileage
rates for the cars:
Am I on the right version of TimeLog?
If you are not sure, if you can make use of the above mentioned features already, you can check the looks of your timesheet in TimeLog. If it does not look like this, you would need an upgrade:
